I reckon it would be great if you could change the website so that people's location (not full address) showed up when they place offers or requests in the marketplace.
That way you could just scan the list and see which are worth looking at.
Alternatively, you could create local networks for those in different parts of the country, so you only see the stuff that's relevant to you.
There could even be a special option when posting something in the marketplace, so your posting shows in all the local networks if

Thank you, you make several very good suggestions.
We plan to implement location based grouping and local search functions as a priority on the “to do” list.

Connecting People
I'd like to be able to suggest someone who could help with a time trade request. e.g. I noticed that Matt Collier is asking for property advice and I see that Brent Matthews has experience with this. I'd like to point this out to each of them...

Love the way your thinking! & you’re exactly right. We need this because our community is about connecting people and making it easier for us all to collaborate and work together. We are planning a set of "introduction / suggestion / recommendation " tools.
These are still several weeks away, but we will keep you posted -
Profile Suggestions
When I'm filling in my worknow profile, it would be good to have a prompt with examples with each field, we used (?) for ours, just so i know from the (?) exactly what the difference in purpose of the summary and description is.

Thanks for your suggestion you’re right prompts would be helpful and once we settle on the profile feilds we will include examples.
At this stage tough the profiles (as with everything here in Beta, are a work in progress.
We are interested to see how people use them and what information they add. Some feilds may be removed or combined. We expect to add several new fields as the site expands.
Feedback will soon list against our profiles too.
We are interested to hear what field’s our members find useful to showcase their talent

have an easy to find simple guide for new users
I didn't find it easy to figure out what I was supposed to do after registering. Having an easy to find (i.e. prominent links on the main pages) guide of steps that new users should take would be helpful. Also, having those explanations that pop up in bubbles when you hover your mouse over buttons or links would be good. I've managed to figure the basic functionality out now, but the site doesn't feel as intuitive as what I am used to.

Thank you for your feedback. It confirms what we have heard from a couple of other people too, specifically re: links.
We will definitely look to implement the user functionality that you’ve suggested. I understood this to include: 1) user process guide 2) improved links 3) help / ? “pop ups” Appreciate you taking the time to add feedback here.

KISS (keeping it simple silly)
the 'learn more about time trading' section has an excellent explaination of the concept! much easier to grasp than the previous summaries on the home page. The more simple the better. Perhaps adjust the other explainations to conincide?

Do you think people need to visit a traditional “Home” page? as I have pushed to have /home removed from the main navigation. Perhaps a mistake?
Our main landing page http://www.worknow.co.nz. is currently the same as http://www.worknow.co.nz/time_trade/marketplace. Do you think we have choosen the right landing page?
We hoped people would not need to view the “old” http://www.worknow.co.nz/home until we have this updated which is why there is no easy way to navigate there except URL or clicking on the logo.
Thanks for your feedback, the new page ‘learn more about time trading’ shows how we’ve refined our own understanding of the system as development progresses so I’m happy to hear we are improving on that front:-)

Do I have to create a separate login to this forum (i.e. not my WorkNow ID)?
I came to this forum from WorkNow, but when I'm asked to login here, my WorkNow login information doesn't allow me to login here. I think most of your forum suggestions will end up being anonymous because people won't want to sign up for yet another account just to leave identified comments here.

Simulated time trades to test the system
We should run a series of simulated trades so that we can watch the process function and look at how the system responds.

Give more credits once a task is already completed
I think it would be handy to be able to give more credits once a task is already completed rather than start a new job altogether.. i.e. I posted a request for on going help instead of re-posting a request after each time I get help it would be good to just give more credits each week for example. (I know we already can just give more time credits to anyone we like but what I'm suggesting is that it's more obvious that we can do that some how. note: I'm suggesting this mainly so I don't forget to bring… more

Thanks for taking the time to offer your feedback, I apologise that may have misunderstood your suggestion but what I can say is that :-
1) Your post will remain live until such time as you choose to either hide or delete it from the system. You do not need to re-post jobs.
2) The system requires people to re-bid for work because in this way they can gather additional feedback / references
3) The only limit to how much time you can trade is the -5 balance. Therefore if you have an ongoing need i.e – to have you dog walked five times a week while on holiday for a month – you can agree up front to trade 20 hours and then make this exchange at the end. Exactly when and how much you agree to trade is completely up to you.
